AIA CA Sponsored Legislation Passes the State Assembly.

Our AB 1010 (Berman D-Palo Alto), to establish a Zero Net Carbon Design continuing education requirement for architects, passed the State Assembly on Monday with a 72-2 vote.  AB 1010 is on a fast track.  It is one of the few Assembly Bills to have already passed the State Assembly.  It now goes to the State Senate for another round of hearings and votes.  Those Senate hearings, most likely, will begin in June.

Please feel free to reach out to our Director of Government Relations Mark Christian, Hon. AIA CA, if you have any questions.  Mark can be reached at mchristian@aiacalifornia.org or 916-642-1708.
