AIA CA and NCARB Townhall Event
The AIA CA and NCARB hosted a Townhall Event April 15th, 2021, to discuss updates on new ARE testing procedures, the online proctored examination process and provide a forum for our members to express their testing experiences. The discussion was moderated by AIA CA’s Licensing Advisor (South), David Garcia, Assoc. AIA and AIA LA’s Francisco Arias, Assoc. AIA with guest Jared N. Zurn, AIA, NCARB, CAE – Vice President of Examination for NCARB. The program topics were developed from our members’ input via the “AEP and AIALA EP Survey on Licensing Exam Issues”. Moderators discussed the importance of licensure and alternate licensure paths available for candidates. Additional key topics included the pandemic, its disruption to online proctoring, and future changes members can expect.
The AIA LA and AIA CA would like to thank Jared Zurn for his time and participation in the event illustrating the value of open communication between AIA and NCARB. More importantly we want to thank those of you who attended and submitted questions during the event. While we were unable to address all the questions during the Townhall, we appreciate all the emerging professionals for taking an active role in the process.
