The Urban Design Committee aims to improve the quality of the regional and urban environment by promoting excellence in design, planning, and public policy in the built environment through advocacy, education and communications. The committee serves as a policy advisory group for the Government Relations program, serves as the jury for the AIA CA Urban Design Awards program, and hosts a variety of professional development opportunities for members.
