Irving J. Gill’s career began when he was only 19 and continued until his death 47 years later. During his career he designed over 350 buildings, most of which were built. He was continuously pursuing innovation in design as well as in the materials and methods of construction. He sought an architecture that was durable, healthy, convenient, and above all, appropriate in its aesthetic.
