Make the Grade: Envelope & the 2019 Energy Code
May 20, 2021 | 1:00pm-2:30pm PT
Speaker:

This webinar provides a deep dive into envelope requirements of the 2019 Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6). We will focus our discussion on developing details that meet the nonresidential and residential Prescriptive requirements for compliance to establish what we’ll call a “C” passing grade for a project. We will then talk about what happens when a project’s U-factor is below Prescriptive requirements (which we would consider a project grade of “D/F”), how that compares to exceeding Prescriptive baseline (grade of “A/B”) and how that will affect HVAC loads of the building, moisture control, and energy compliance flexibility.
