Make the Grade: PV, All-Electric & the 2019 Energy Code
June 30, 2021 | 1:00pm-2:30pm PT
Speaker:
Gina Rodda | Principal, Owner, Gabel Energy
In this webinar, we will take a deep dive into photovoltaic (PV) requirements of the 2019 Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6) and considerations for “all-electric” design. We will focus our discussion on determining baseline requirements for PV for nonresidential versus residential projects, and how they compare to those that would comply with a Reach Code (see our presentation being offered on Reach Codes for more information). We will review building design considerations to support PV systems (which we would call a passing “C” grade), and how an all-electric design can be paired with appropriately sized PV systems while also taking into consideration multifamily solar thermal requirements (grade of “A/B”).
