Membership in the AIA is a great investment in your professional life. Direct benefits of membership include discounted workers compensation insurance and exclusive project leads. Often less fully appreciated—though ultimately of greater importance—is the AIACC’s legislative and regulatory advocacy. Legislation and regulation shape, for good or ill, both the economics of architectural practice and the quality of the built environment. As the voice of the architecture profession in Sacramento, AIACC represents the interests of architects and of architecture before sixteen regulatory agencies and the California Legislature.
