A 450 square-foot rear addition to an existing 1944 bungalow, this project synthesizes the vernacular with the contemporary via common forms and materiality while maintaining a distinct autonomy. Through careful sequencing of new spaces and strategically located apertures, the building opens itself up to become deeply integrated with the rear garden.
