Sponsored by the Concrete Masonry Association of California and Nevada (CMACN) and co-sponsored by AIA California (AIA California), the Concrete Masonry Design Awards Program recognizes and encourages outstanding architectural design in California and Nevada that incorporates the use of at least 30% concrete masonry block within the building envelope.

Projects are awarded by category: 25 Year, Commercial, Education, Public/Civic, Residential – Single-Family Residential and Multi-Family Residential, and Retail.

All projects awarded were built in California or Nevada within the last five years (with the exception of the 25 Year Award), were completed, and inherently sustainable.

The program also recognizes the Designers, Builders, Structural Engineering Firms, Concrete Masonry Suppliers, and project Owners. All of the 2026 Design Awards will be presented in September 2026 at the Langham in Pasadena, CA.
