American Institute of Architects California Honors Technology Giant

Sacramento, Calif.— Aug. 18, 2020, LG Business Solutions USA received the “Innovation Award” from the American Institute of Architects California at the association’s virtual Board of Directors Meeting.
The award, presented by 2020 AIA CA President Debra Gerod, FAIA, represented much more then technological advances in office retrofitting. Rather, it recognized and solidified a relationship between architects and the electronic giant that was recently tapped to outfit the new AIA California office with a variety of cutting-edge displays, including Ultra-Stretch Displays, Window-Facing Displays, Transparent OLED Displays, and more.
AIA CA headquarters relocated in 2019, which resulted in new and improved technological demands. LG stepped up and created a space that helped to enhance the reflection of the architecture profession itself.
“As architects, we are acutely aware of the changing landscape and consider these factors in shaping how project decisions are made; we provide an essential connection between clients and the building team and we are the key driver in providing innovative and sustainable solutions. However, we all know the complexity of project delivery is only possible through a collaboration with contractors, consultants and building product manufacturers,” said Gerod.
The AIA CA immediately recognized this task involved conversations, collaborations, and a group of individuals who understood what was needed. This task involved more than simply mounting large display monitors and screens.
According to Clark Brown, vice president, LG Business Solutions USA, the award is a testament to how display technology continues to enhance architectural design competences. “Display technology enables architect professionals to build dynamic and memorable experiences. This prestigious recognition reinforces the fact that technology is a design element in its own right,” he said.
To help architects and designers integrate advanced commercial display technologies into their building projects, LG has launched an expansive library of Building Information Modeling (BIM) online resources. Architects and designers can register for an exclusive LG newsletter which includes information on products, technologies and virtual events.
.
The partnership with LG and architects throughout the state if nothing else, has been solidified and provided results-driven proof of the necessity of the collaboration. As evidenced by the AIA CA headquarters.
