The California Awards program recognizes excellence in the architectural profession in seven categories: (Firm Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Distinguished Practice Award, Norma Sklarek Humanitarian Award, Academy for Emerging Professionals Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award for Healthcare Facility Design and Honorary Membership) as well as other achievement awards deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.
