AE Profitability Metrics Demystified: Utilization Rate, Efficiency Rate, and Cost Rate Multiplier Webinar

Virtual

For AE firms, profit is a multifaceted concept that extends beyond a simple year-end bank account balance. It's about diving deep into the metrics and tools that unlock both project and firm profitability. Douglas Tieger, FAIA, who started his own firm over 30 years ago as a solo practitioner, grew it to 32-employees as managing partner, and then successfully sold it to begin his own consulting firm will be your guide in this illuminating webinar! He will review the intricacies of profit analysis and empower you with the essential knowledge to drive success at both the project and firm level. Join Douglas as he unravels the vital KPI of profitability, the cost rate multiplier, and explores the crucial distinctions between utilization rate and efficiency rate. He'll explain precisely how to define your breakeven multiplier and unveil your true cost rate, ensuring that financial clarity guides your decision-making. Additionally, discover how to set and analyze your firm's maximum office billing potential, a critical step toward achieving your financial goals. By the end of this session, you'll possess the knowledge and tools to drive profitability, both at the project level and across your entire firm. Study Hub: Project Planning & Design (PPD)

Virtual

Project Planning & Design (PPD) focuses on the preliminary design of sites and buildings. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of and abilities in design concepts, sustainability/environmental design, universal design, and other forms of governing codes and regulations. Speaker: Elif Bayram Elif Bayram is the founder of arequestions.com, a specialized platform committed to offering comprehensive practice materials for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Architectural Registration Examinations (ARE). Ms. Bayram's academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Architecture obtained from Selcuk University, Turkey in 2008, followed by a Master's degree in Architectural Design at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2010. During the course of her own preparation for the ARE exams, she identified a scarcity of adequate practice material, which led her to create her own collection of questions to complement her studies. Over time, her library expanded to over 1100 questions, which she began to share with her colleagues and friends. Encouraged by the positive feedback from the architectural community, Ms. Bayram brought arequestions.com to fruition in late 2020, extending her invaluable resources to the wider ARE candidate community. In her endeavor to deliver a comprehensive learning experience, Elif Bayram does not limit her offerings to practice questions. She also provides extensive video lectures on various ARE topics and holds regular interactive sessions on Zoom, aimed at guiding licensure candidates. Moreover, she shares her knowledge through free, one-on-one meetings with candidates, free presentations on diverse subjects, such as strategies to successfully pass the ARE examinations, structural systems and more. Since early, 2022, Elif works full time for her company and works on increasing the content of her platform continuously.
